After soccer Saturday, I thought - sky is clear, moon is waning, not too cold - I should pack up some gear and try to shoot the stars.
Did a quick google and you tube swat for the settings ...
So after a frantic whipping up of the easy-up tent, sleeping bag etc, and requisite camera gear and some camping gear and food, off I went with Lexi to Wood's Reserve.
I forgot a few things - stretcher, G-shock, battery lantern ...
Took a focus setting shot and set lens to manual. Got the tent up before dark then pottered around getting some food, having a shower [the indulgent luxury of Wood's].

star photos in part 2 ...
Sunday morning
my 'little' Coleman Lakeside 4 tent - I can put this one up on my own without any trouble as the height of the poles means you can reach everything. The quid pro quo is you can't really stand up in it except in the very centre.
home in time for choir practice & Mass

Was it just you. Pretty impressive set up plus nice bacon and eggs.
