I am bemused by the look of St Peter Julian's church in Haymarket. I am a bit of a regular there as sitting staring at a screen rarely improves you dignity, but balancing your life does. I have never seen anything quite so overt for the Chinese New Year. I would be a bit more comfortable if there were subtitles so I knew what the characters hanging on the lecterns say. Perhaps Anne can help.
It took me while to work out what the red things were on the right and left. They are firecrackers!!! If they go after after communion, we are all getting blown to kingdom come!
