This round of EDEE has not failed to challenge. There is an intriguing battle here I am attacked from all sides. Earlier hopes for a wrap around have been dashed by sharper than usual neutral gobbling by his opponents. In the absence of neutrals in all but one direction, the only option is to try to contest enemy territory.
My most promising attack on Little Finger's island saw troops landed under massive air cover. The shock and awe air assault has removed all enemy armies.
I had no answer to a revolutionary tactic by Petyr Baelish to build a glowing green zone by nuking a wall around one of his cities (destroying my armour in the process). Notice all my armies - everyone failed! This means lots of buzzing around in planes while the transports go back for more! (Ignore the submerged sub hovering outside the Transport Building City - I photo-shopped than in.)
Meanwhile, the neutrals that will win the game are turning green. I know that my opponents do not share my obsession for gobbling neutrals, but I see that as more important than even defending an island early in the game.
Who every holds this neutrals in the next 6 turns (in my humble opinion), will take this game. And I am not even on the map yet! I have transports leaving key fronts to try to get here. How much oomph have the greens got in the fog of war area?
