A number of interesting views are presented in these comments, but again no facts. The facts references are to the regurgitated that have been disproved in scientific literature and in this blog. Dressing up old lies and new facts seems to be part of the tactics of deception.

Of course the deniers must attack any connection with Haiyan and climate change. The use of the word "alarmist" seems to allow authors to avoid facts. The facts are that typhoons are 10% stronger than they were in the 1970s. I suppose the positive side is that the captains of pollutant industries are several times richer than they were in the 1970s while the victims are not any more dead.

There is more and more evidence of climate change impacting civil unrest. There is still no acceptance of this evidence by sceptics. While I agree there are no undeniable facts, each clue needs to be followed. I prefer certainty to "the balance of evidence" arguments, so more study is required, not rhetoric and obstruction of research.

What's left? Oh yes, all the little furry animals (especially the ones with big cute eyes) are going to become "climate extinct". We really must take this one seriously because the climate alarmists have an awesome track record on animal extinctions. Just look at the poor polar bears and penguins which became extinct in 2012.

Well, well. It looks like the "climate change" causes GIANT TYPHOONS is also bogus. Can't say I am surprised. http://www.climatedepot.com/2013/11/09/mediaclimate-activists-hype-false-claims-about-typhoon-haiyan-as-scientists-reject-climate-link-claim-of-strongest-storm-ever-refuted-climate-depot-special-report/

Interestingly, the "climate change" causes refugees scare is actually an old one, and earlier alarmists predicted 50 million "climate refugees" by 2010. That didn't happen, and five years later it hasn't happened. Just like all the other predictions and models that have proved to be false. A scientist would learn from failed predictions and models and investigate further, but this has nothing to do with science. It is politics, and political agendas. Hence Miliband trots out an old lie. http://asiancorrespondent.com/52962/reaction-to-the-50-million-climate-refugee-prediction/

Paul

The refugees are displaced by wars and civil wars as Miliband himself admits. Climate has absolutely nothing to do with it. Perhaps if Britain refrained from bombing countries like Libya and creating chaos and terrorism across Northern Africa there would be less refugees. The hysteria and lies from morally bankrupt politicians is now so pervasive that EVERYTHING bad is now being attributed to "climate change", even the consequences of failed political and military policies. Another classic was a recent report that the Civil War in Syria was caused by "climate change" - no mention of the United States arming and support of 'rebels' who have subsequently morphed into ISIS. If ever one needed affirmation that the whole "climate" agenda was bogus, this is it! I don't know what is worse, the politicians who spread this nonsense or the fools in the general public who swallow it.
