We play a game in our holdhold. Everyone picks two recipes from a cook book each week and I cook them. Filius has a preference for meals with great photography, but I do not think he even reads the title. So last night we had Vegetarian Patties!
Despite the simple appearance of the dish, this beauty took slightly over two hours to prepare. The carrots (in the foreground) are oven roasted with honey, cumin and caraway seed. You can see the roast fennel with sumac underneath the patties below. The green paste on the top is courgette humus. The patties themselves have garlic, lemon, fennel, tahini, chick peas and bread crumbs.
Under construction they do not look like much. However, the taste was quite good. Not worth the two hours or work, but I can proudly say that no animals were harmed in the making of the dish (taking the buddist perspective that animals under 100 microns in length do not count).
I can just guess Paul's view.
You have guessed correctly. But a good dish for Friday.
