So who is Uxor Petri? Is that LT?

I have another attack of masonry bees. I hate myself for doing so, but I kill these as they pulling several cups of cement out of one part of the house every year. There are quite interesting, being solitary bees with black and white stripes.

A shame she couldn't get a photo. So, the European wasps are good for something!

Very nice photographs. My gardening wife saw a European wasp dragging away a tarantula spider today. Amazing.
