Earlier in the week daughter #2 finished her HSC exams after much preparation and stress (for her mother). To celebrate the end of exams she was treated to a Chinese takeaway lunch of her favourite meal: Peking Duck in pancakes and noodles. It survived the takeaway treatment very well.
Last night we had a wonderful visit from Thygocanberra and family. He kindly brought us six duck eggs. Two of these eggs have already been used to make chocolate cupcakes. The only difference that we noticed to using chicken eggs was that the cakes appeared to rise more than usual, although this may have been caused by something else. The end result was delicious.
I am very glad you are enjoying the eggs. The cakes look delicious - a pity they wouldn't survive the rigours of the Australian Postal system. The ducks presented us with 5 more quackleberries this morning :)
The youngest Thygo is suffering from public transport withdrawal - having had a smorgersboard of trains, buses and ferries over the weekend.
